Winona, Minn.—Rhode Island College senior Kelsey Gates (Orangeville, Pa.) was the Co-National Champion on floor, while junior Olivia Keyes (Bridgewater, Mass.) also earned All-American honors in the all-around, at the 2023 National Collegiate Gymnastics Association (NCGA) National Championship, hosted by Winona State on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Gates finished first, along with Springfield's Christina Wygonik, to earn All-American honors on floor with a score of 9.825 and become just the second Anchorwoman ever to win a national title at the NCGA National Championship. Sue Paul won on vault at both the 1996 and 1997 NCGA competition.

• It marked the fourth All-American honors for Gates in her career, who attained that status in the all-around (2022, '20) and on floor ('22).

• Gates, an all-around qualifier in 2023, also placed 42nd on vault (9.350), 33rd on bars (8.800), 45th on beam (8.300) and ninth in the all-around (36.275). She finished one spot shy of earning All-American honors in the all-around for the third time in her career.

• Keyes earned All-American honors in the all-around for the second consecutive season with a third place finish (37.775). It is the fourth All-American honor for her, having attained that status on beam, floor and in the all-around as a sophomore in 2022.

•  Keyes, an all-around qualifier in 2023, placed 44th on vault (9.250), 25th on bars (9.225), 16th on beam (9.650) and tied for 25th on floor (9.650).

• Sophomore Emma Tucker (Pompton Plains, N.J.) finished 38th on beam (8.900). It was her second straight trip to the NCGA National Championship on that event.

• Freshman Morgan Lunn (Rutland, Mass.) qualified for the NCGA National Championship on beam, but was unable to compete due to an injury.
